The City of Bowling Green is preparing to hand over the Parks and Recreation Division to someone new.
Current Director of Parks and Rec Ernie Gouvas and Golf Division Manager Bob Jeffers are set to retire.
City Manager Kevin DeFebbo will take over on an interim basis.
Although he will only hold the position for a short time, DeFebbo wants to learn how to improve Bowling Green Golf Courses.
"Primarily to learn more about the golf division. How we can improve on the product, how we can increase revenue and reduce costs and the best way to do that always is to see for yourself," says DeFebbo.
The city has been in talks recently to sell some of its golf courses, but DeFebbo says he doesn't think that will be the case.
